With the garden going full tilt this year and all the canning and that I haven't had too much time to post, and that is still the case, so instead a picture montage for your viewing pleasure!
My sister got a nice DSLR camera a while back and she lets me use it now and again, until I can get one of my own! I took some Photography back in high school, but that don't make me Ansel Adams then does it?? lol!
So tell me what you think, go ahead, I can take it!! And Enjoy!
Well there you go, and I will see ya soon !

New Dairy Calf and Large Black Hogs!!
Last Sunday we went to pick up a Large Black boar hog from a local breeder here in the area, on the way back with the hog, my sister called and said one of the dairy heifers was in labor. We got home and found Sweetpea, who was born here two years ago, already in labor with hooves coming out!
In about the fastest labor i have seen, she had the calf delivered in about an hour! And sweet Lilly came into the world!
After cleanup its time for a nap, here she is catching some shut eye!
And with all the excitement, we didnt get any picture of the hog, we'll thats another post anyway!!
UPDATE!!!
Here is a picture of the Large Black Hog, His name is Sammy, or Sam or Samuel, don't matter he don't come to ya anyway!

Lazy Barn Cat And Other Stuff
This is Fritter, one of our barn cats, she is takin it easy today , maybe because its 98 degrees outside. We are waiting for the rain too, we mowed out front and it looked like a dust storm was rolling thru.
This is one of our little bulls, he stands only three feet tall. He is a Dexter X Beefmaster cross, our neighbors fence just couldn't hold big daddy bull in. He's almost the spittin image of his daddy.
This is Lucille, one of our milkers, she's a Jersey X Guernsey cross, she puts out alot of milk and its loaded with cream. Lucille is due any day now, look at the size of that bag!
This is Clemetine, she was one of the first to come join us at the farm, she has a daughter here with us named Darlin, get it? Anyway I was messin with the camera settings and found the sepia setting, cool huh? heheheSo there you go a few pics of the goings on around here, more to follow.
